The story

Finca El Paraiso was founded in 2008 by Diego Samuel Bermudez, who entered the coffee industry after identifying an opportunity to cultivate coffee on his family's isolated land. Diego, who had no prior family history in coffee farming, developed the project while studying Agricultural Enterprise Management. The farm is a family-operated business that has since grown into a renowned estate focused on scientific innovation.

Challenges

The farm operates in a region where it must compensate for altitude limitations through high-end technology and scientific intervention. Additionally, the farm manages complex environmental factors including humid conditions and winds from the Pacific.

Innovations

The farm utilizes a proprietary microbiology laboratory to develop bespoke fermentation processes, including the use of self-collected microorganisms and bioreactors. They employ advanced technology to monitor temperature, pH, and sugar levels in real-time during fermentation to ensure consistency and unique flavor profiles.
