History

Established in 1960, the cooperative has become a significant force in the Costa Rican coffee industry, producing approximately 50,000 bags of green coffee annually. It began implementing greenhouse gas reduction strategies in 1998. The organization is widely recognized for achieving the world's first carbon-neutral certification for coffee production in 2011.
