Efraín “Macho” Naranja is a veteran Costa Rican coffee producer with over four decades of experience in the industry. Based in the highlands of Santa Rosa de León Cortés, he operates Finca Macho and the Santa Rosa 1900 micro-mill alongside his family. His work is recognized for a commitment to quality and the modernization of traditional coffee production practices.

Don Efraín began his journey in coffee at age fourteen. In 2004, he took full control of his farm and initiated a modernization process for their production methods. This effort eventually led to the establishment of the family-operated Santa Rosa 1900 micro-mill, which processes coffee from their various family-owned farms.
