Peña Blanca

The story

Peña Blanca is a small farm located in a northern area of the Nariño region. The farm is owned by Enuar Rodrigo Ramos, who transitioned into coffee farming after previously working in livestock production. He utilized the proceeds from his livestock work to build a home for his family and purchase the 2-hectare plot of land where he now cultivates coffee.

Challenges

The farm operates on a small scale, with the owner having transitioned from a different agricultural sector to establish the coffee operation.

Innovations

The farm utilizes the Colombia variety, which is a laboratory-developed cross between Caturra and Timor Hybrid designed for leaf rust resistance and high cup quality.
