The coffee from San Vicente Yogondoy is produced by a group of six farmers located in the Sierra Sur region of Oaxaca, Mexico. These producers are extreme smallholders who manage small, traceable lots in a remote, lush, and densely forested community.

The farmers of San Vicente Yogondoy belong to an indigenous Zapotec community that maintains their traditional language and refers to the area as the 'Rio de Abejas' or 'Bees' River.' Many of the farmers in this group have been actively renewing their coffee plots, with a significant portion of their trees planted within the last five years. They continue a long-standing tradition of coffee cultivation that has been central to the region for decades.
