HOW ARE THESE COFFEES DIFFERENT?

Choose two to four published profiles. We compare documented facts, separate descriptive claims from our tasting, and show unknowns rather than declaring a universal winner.

What should I compare before choosing a coffee?

Start with the exact coffee and producer when disclosed, then compare variety, post-harvest processing, roast and tasting descriptions. A process label describes how the cherry is handled, not a guaranteed flavor. Roasters' tasting notes are predictions or descriptions, not independent tests. A documented farm link does not alone prove the identity of a particular lot.

Start with recent profiles or type at least two characters to search the published catalog. Only the selected coffees are loaded for comparison.

Outside review evidence for these exact coffees

Links below come only from approved, exact-coffee matches with a traceable source URL. Retailer material, equipment promotions, duplicate URLs and reviews whose identity is unresolved are excluded. An outside source count never means that reviewers agree. An absence of sources does not mean the coffee is bad.

Rule-based conclusions

How are these coffees different?

Lightest documented roast approach — TIE
Tied at Light roast: Colombia — Asprasar Cooperative (Tolima) · Colombia Saldaña Highlands

Both records document the same roast level. Roast labels are not standardized between roasters — treat as an approach, not a measurement.

Documented processing approaches
Colombia — Asprasar Cooperative (Tolima): process not fully disclosed

These are descriptive processing categories, not an ordinal scale. Co-fermentation, inoculation and post-roast flavoring cannot be ranked as 'more processed' from a label alone.

Every conclusion above is computed from stored fields with the rule printed beside it. We do not generate tasting opinions, do not weight one attribute over another, and do not declare a winner — the right coffee depends on what you value.
