Finca El Yasal

The story

The Gamboa family purchased El Yasal as cattle land in 1980 and began planting coffee there in 2010. Their Montes de Oro micro-mill, established in 2006, processes coffee from the family's four farms.

Challenges

Only five of the farm's fifty hectares are dedicated to coffee; the exact release page does not publish additional production constraints.

Innovations

The archived Verve lot retained a measured amount of mucilage for white-honey processing, then dried on raised beds at Montes de Oro micro-mill.
