Finca Rosita

The story

Finca Rosita is a 32-hectare farm located in the Illimani community of Caranavi, Bolivia. The farm is operated by multiple generations of the Valverde-Aramayo family and was named to honor the memory of the family matriarch, Rosa Angélica Aramayo.

Challenges

The farm operates in a region where they must manage complex processing requirements and environmental variables to maintain high-quality output.

Innovations

The farm utilizes controlled anaerobic fermentation, employing oxygen-free tanks with airlocks and brix meters to monitor sugar levels during processing. They also serve as a processing hub for neighboring farms and maintain Rainforest Alliance certification.
