Konyu Coffee Factory

The story

The factory is one of Kabare Farmers’ Cooperative Society’s centralized wet mills in Kirinyaga. Its name comes from the local stream used for coffee processing, according to Intelligentsia’s release story.

Innovations

Centralized cherry intake, sorting, washing and grading allow member smallholders to combine their coffee into traceable factory lots such as the 2024 Konyu AB release.
