COOPELDOS R.L.
COOPELDOS R.L. is a coffee and multi-service cooperative serving producers in the upper areas of Tilarán, Abangares, and Monteverde, Costa Rica. Its current official site reports more than 350 producers across an approximately 600-hectare cultivation zone.
History
The cooperative was founded in 1971 by 79 producers after community coffee pioneer José María “Don Charía” Valenciano Blanco had encouraged local farmers to organize. Verve’s archived Esperanza release reported 342 participating producers at the time of that lot.
