Kamwangi Factory is a coffee processing facility located in the Kirinyaga region of Kenya, situated on the southern slopes of Mount Kenya. It serves approximately 1,800 smallholder farmers who deliver their hand-picked coffee cherries to the factory for centralized processing.

History

Established in 1975 or 1982, the Kamwangi Factory has long served as a key processing hub for smallholder farmers in Kirinyaga. It operates as part of the New Ngariama Cooperative Society, which has expanded to manage three distinct factories in the area. The facility is recognized for its role in producing high-quality Kenyan Arabica coffee.
