Coffee Alchemy was founded by Hazel de los Reyes, who began her journey with a small operation before establishing a dedicated roastery in Marrickville, Sydney, in 2005. The company roasts its coffee on-site at its Marrickville facility, where it processes a wide range of single-origin lots and house blends. The brand is documented for its commitment to quality, having earned numerous industry accolades including multiple Australian Barista Championship titles and recognition in the Sydney Good Cafe Guide. It is known for its unique retail approach, where beans are weighed to order from glass hoppers rather than sold in pre-packaged bags.
