Coming from a deep-rooted coffee lineage, Denilson is a fourth-generation farmer. He inherited the stewardship of La Peña from his father, Franklin Madrid, a well-regarded producer known for his work with farms such as La Patepluma and La Fortuna. This family legacy has provided Denilson with a strong foundation in traditional agronomy, which he has furthered through formal education in agriculture and agronomy at the Escuela Agrícola Panamericana Zamorano.

Denilson is primarily known for his cultivation of the Pacas variety, a natural mutation of Bourbon that is well-suited to the microclimates of Santa Bárbara.
