Pyin Oo Lwin, formerly known as May Myo, is a scenic hill station located in the Mandalay Region of central Myanmar. Situated at an altitude of approximately 1,070 meters, the town was developed by the British in 1896 as a retreat to escape the intense heat and humidity of the lowlands.
