Pache
Pache is a compact Arabica variety and natural mutation of Typica. It combines a dwarf growth habit and medium yield with good high-altitude cup-quality potential, but it is susceptible to major diseases.
Where did it come from?
Pache was discovered on the Brito farm in Santa Cruz Naranjo, Santa Rosa, Guatemala, in 1949 and spread through mass selection on private farms before reaching other producing countries.
What does it tend to taste like?
Lot- and terroir-dependent; the variety is documented for good quality potential at high altitude.

Compact dwarf plant with bronze leaf tips, large beans, medium yield, and average ripening.
