Striped Red Bourbon
Striped Red Bourbon is a locally selected, naturally occurring field variant of Red Bourbon distinguished by orange striping on ripe red cherries. Scientific characterization remains limited, so the record does not claim a formal breeding pedigree beyond Red Bourbon.
Where did it come from?
Farmers in Cauca noticed red Bourbon cherries developing distinctive orange stripes, segregated those cherries, and began planting the selected trees after finding a cup difference. Intelligentsia documents Finca Juan Martín among the farms cultivating the selection.
