Duwancho

The story

Duwancho is a washing station located in the Arbegona district of the Sidama region in Ethiopia. It is operated in partnership with Catalyst Trade and is owned by Faysel Abdosh, who is recognized for his work as an activist and philanthropist supporting local coffee communities.

Challenges

Coffee growers in the region face various obstacles related to the terrain and market conditions, which the station owner actively works to address through advocacy and community support.

Innovations

The station is noted as one of the highest in the world and utilizes advanced processing techniques, including anaerobic honey processing, to enhance the cup profile of the coffee.
