The story

Finca La Estrella is located in Urrao, Antioquia, and is managed by Jhon Alexander Bermudez, a second-generation coffee grower. He operates the three-hectare farm alongside his wife and two daughters to sustain their family business.

Challenges

The Urrao region is noted for being remote and historically difficult to work in, which has presented challenges for coffee production.

Innovations

The farm utilizes a specialized eight-day underwater fermentation process for its Chiroso variety, which is then dried in a greenhouse for 8 to 13 days to achieve a unique flavor profile.
