The story

Quebraditas Coffee Farm was established in 2018 by Edinson Argote and Luz Angela Rojas. The couple acquired the property with financial support from Angela's father to launch their own family-run coffee project. Edinson, who previously worked at a local coffee buying station, transitioned into production to focus on specialty coffee quality.

Challenges

The producer has navigated significant personal hardships, including being orphaned at a young age and working odd jobs before entering the coffee industry. The farm operates in a region with an equatorial climate characterized by high humidity and frequent rainfall.

Innovations

The farm is recognized for its experimental approach to processing, specifically utilizing yeast inoculation and rehydration techniques. They also implement strategic shade-grown practices and focus on soil care to maintain quality.
