Editorial illustration ยท not a verified farm photograph
This is a research profile, not an independently conducted farm visit. Producer and coffee relationships are shown only when the records agree. Check the research sources below for supporting evidence.
The story
Miroroma Factory is operated by the Kanyenyaini Farmers Co-operative Society, which was established in 1997. The cooperative supports approximately 2,000 farmers in total, with nearly 950 smallholders currently delivering their handpicked coffee cherries to the Miroroma facility. This collective represents the ongoing efforts of local farming families to maintain the region's long-standing coffee-growing legacy.
Challenges
Farmers in the region face challenges related to the cultivation of coffee varieties, including issues with vegetation and the need for resilience in diverse growing conditions.
Innovations
The factory employs a meticulous fully washed process that includes fermentation, washing, and a soaking stage, followed by slow drying on raised beds for up to 21 days to enhance cup quality.

Published coffees linked to this farm
For blends, a farm may be named for one documented component without growing the entire coffee. These catalog relationships do not independently verify every lot, harvest or producer. See individual coffee profiles for traceability evidence.
