Mulugeta Drying Station

The story

Mulugeta Muntasha, originally a truck driver who transported coffee in Arsi, returned to his home village of Bursa in 2021. He established the Dawencho drying station after observing local farmers begin planting coffee to address economic and climate challenges. The station quickly gained recognition, achieving high rankings in the Cup of Excellence competition shortly after its founding.

Challenges

The region of Bursa previously did not grow coffee, and farmers began planting trees as a response to economic strain and climate change.
