Rio Brilhante

The story

Inácio Carlos Urban arrived in Minas Gerais in 1976 and acquired the land that would become Fazenda Rio Brilhante in 1984. The farm is named after the clear water of the Guarani Aquifer that feeds the property. It is currently managed by the second generation of the Urban family.

Challenges

The farm is located in a region where the soil was historically considered challenging for agricultural development.

Innovations

The farm utilizes a model called Constructive Coffee Farming, which focuses on continuous system evolution to build soil fertility and balance. They also employ rigorous quality control methods and maintain full traceability for their coffee batches.
