The story

Jairo Arcila is a third-generation coffee grower who spent over 40 years working as a mill manager for the exporter Racafé before retiring in 2019. He and his wife, Luz Helena Salazar, are the parents of Carlos and Felipe Arcila, the co-founders of the coffee company Cofinet. Jairo began his own journey in coffee production by purchasing his first farm, Finca La Esmeralda, in 1987.

Innovations

Under the guidance of his sons, Jairo Arcila has implemented advanced processing methods, including dry anaerobic fermentation and co-fermentation with ingredients like strawberries and wine yeast.
