Editorial illustration ยท not a verified farm photograph

This is a research profile, not an independently conducted farm visit. Producer and coffee relationships are shown only when the records agree. Check the research sources below for supporting evidence.

The story

This project is a collaboration between the roaster SEY and their export partner, SNAP. The initiative is currently in its second year of operation as of 2026. It represents a deliberate effort to move away from traditional regional blending practices in Ethiopia by isolating specific high-elevation harvests.

Challenges

The Ethiopian coffee trade faces significant hurdles regarding lot separation and traceability, making it difficult to isolate specific varieties or farm-level lots.

Innovations

The 2026 release isolates Kedida Gubata as a high-elevation separation and applies white-honey processing.

Published coffees linked to this farm

For blends, a farm may be named for one documented component without growing the entire coffee. These catalog relationships do not independently verify every lot, harvest or producer. See individual coffee profiles for traceability evidence.
