The Hingakawa group is a women's association operating within the Abakundakawa Cooperative in the Gakenke District of Rwanda. The name 'Hingakawa' translates to 'Grow Coffee' in Kinyarwanda, reflecting the group's focus on empowering female farmers through coffee production. They are recognized for producing high-quality specialty coffee that has gained international attention from roasters.

The Abakundakawa Cooperative was founded in 2004 and has grown from 180 members to over 4,500 farmers. The Hingakawa women's association was established as a specialized group within the cooperative to provide women with greater financial control and decision-making power. The cooperative operates washing stations in the Rushashi sector and has expanded its operations significantly over the last two decades.
