JNP Coffee
JNP Coffee is a Burundi-based specialty coffee company founded by Jeanine Niyonzima-Aroian to promote high-quality African coffees while fostering economic empowerment. The organization focuses on shifting social norms by providing women farmers with tools for self-sufficiency, ownership rights, and access to education. Bavyeyi is a specific coffee line produced in the Ngozi Province, named by Niyonzima-Aroian in honor of her mother.

After pursuing an education in the United States and working in corporate America, Niyonzima-Aroian founded the non-profit Burundi Friends International to support rural economic programs. Through her work with women coffee farmers in that capacity, she identified an opportunity to create greater impact by entering the coffee industry. She subsequently founded JNP Coffee in 2012 to export specialty coffee and provide farmers with access to global markets.
