Lamastus Family

The Lamastus family are renowned Panamanian coffee producers who manage three estates, including the award-winning Elida Estate, located in the high-altitude cloud forests of Boquete. Led by Wilford Lamastus Sr. and his son, Wilford Lamastus Jr., the family is recognized for producing some of the world's most highly regarded Geisha coffee. Their operations are deeply integrated with the preservation of the surrounding Volcán Barú National Park.

History

Founded in 1918, Elida Estate has remained in the Lamastus family for over a century. The farm began cultivating Geisha coffee in 2005, which helped establish their reputation for producing world-class specialty lots. Today, the family manages three distinct properties: Elida Estate, El Burro Estate, and Luito Geisha Estate.
