Worka Chelbessa is a prominent coffee-producing community located in the Gedeb district of Ethiopia's Gedeo region. The washing station serves approximately 486 to 500 smallholder farmers who cultivate coffee in the surrounding forests.

The Worka Chelbessa washing station is managed by SNAP Specialty Coffee, an exporter founded by Negusse Debela in 2008. Negusse Debela began operating his first site in the area in 2017 and expanded his operations in 2019 by acquiring a second washing station in the Danche sub-area.
