Paxtle (small group of farmers)
Paxtle is a small group of coffee farmers located in the mountains of the Sierra Mazateca in Mexico. They operate in the San Mateo area on the western side of the valley, producing coffee that is often featured by specialty roasters.
History
The group functions as a multi-producer collective, a structure that roasters note is rare for them to work with outside of East Africa. They focus on high-quality production in the Sierra Mazateca region, with harvests typically occurring in the spring.
