Ricardo Koyner is a third-generation coffee producer and trained agronomist based in Boquete, Panama. He is the owner and president of Kotowa Coffee, a company managing multiple estates that has become a prominent name in specialty coffee. He is also recognized as the first president of the Specialty Coffee Association of Panama.

After graduating from the Zamorano Institute and earning a Master's degree in Agribusiness from the University of Florida, Ricardo returned to Panama to take over the family coffee business. He expanded the operation from its original roots into a multi-estate enterprise that now includes several farms across the Boquete region. He has since focused on integrating modern processing techniques with traditional agricultural practices.
