Smallholder farmers from the Gamatui community
The Gamatui community consists of smallholder farmers located on the slopes of Mount Elgon in the Sipi Falls region of Uganda. These farmers work collectively to produce high-quality Arabica coffee, which is then processed at the centralized Sipi Falls Washing Station.

The Gamatui community has established long-standing partnerships with specialty coffee roasters and exporters, such as Kawacom and Atlantic Specialty Coffee, to bring their coffee to the international market. The Sipi Falls Washing Station, which processes their harvest, was established in 2012 to help raise the standard of Ugandan coffee. Farmers in this community have been supplying specialty lots for several years, with some roaster relationships dating back over five years.
