Chandragiri

Chandragiri is an Indian Arabica variety released in 2007 by the Coffee Board of India's Central Coffee Research Institute. The current Gundikhan Estate release identifies it as Chandragiri (Sarchimor); that marketing descriptor is retained without adding an unsupported parentage claim.

Coffee Board of India identifies Chandragiri as an Arabica variety released in 2007. Counter Culture labels the 2025–2026 Gundikhan Estate lot as Chandragiri (Sarchimor).

What does it tend to taste like?

Lot-dependent; Counter Culture's washed Gundikhan Estate release lists tamarind, chocolate, and clove.

Coffee Board of India reports high yield and more than 80% A-grade beans.

Why producers grow it

For its combination of rust tolerance, high yield, and a high proportion of A-grade beans.
