El Mirador — Yessica Parra
This is a research profile, not an independently conducted farm visit. Producer and coffee relationships are shown only when the records agree. Check the research sources below for supporting evidence.
The story
The farm is operated by siblings Yessica and Diego Parra, who represent the fourth generation of a coffee-growing family. Their great-grandfather began farming coffee as a livelihood, a tradition that continued through their grandfather and parents. Yessica and Diego eventually left their previous jobs to acquire their own land and establish their brand, Diwan Coffee, which officially launched in November 2024.
Challenges
The farm operates as a small-scale project where the producers focus on experimental varieties and intensive processing methods rather than high-volume production.
Innovations
For the documented lot, ripe cherry was held intact for 24 hours, floated, depulped, dry-fermented for 36 hours, and dried on raised beds for 20 days to about 10% moisture.
Published coffees linked to this farm
For blends, a farm may be named for one documented component without growing the entire coffee. These catalog relationships do not independently verify every lot, harvest or producer. See individual coffee profiles for traceability evidence.
