The story

Café El Recuerdo is a family-owned business that represents three generations of coffee-growing tradition. Currently, the farm is managed by five brothers who are focused on modernizing the company and sharing their Huila-grown coffee with the global market.

Challenges

The farm utilizes the cooler mountain climate to slow cherry maturation, which helps manage the development of the coffee cherries despite the inherent difficulties of high-altitude terrain.

Innovations

The farm employs a marquesina, a specialized covered drying structure, to protect the coffee and ensure gradual, even moisture reduction during the post-harvest process.
