Finca Alto Quiel / Mima Estates

The story

Eugene Altieri, known as Don Gene, began cultivating coffee in Boquete over two decades ago after identifying the potential for a family-run business. The family operates two farms, Mima and Pipim, located in Alto Quiel and Alto Lino. Following Don Gene's semi-retirement, the management of the estates transitioned to his children, including Anna Lynn and Francis.

Innovations

The farm utilizes Geisha seeds originally sourced from the Peterson family of Hacienda La Esmeralda, who were responsible for reintroducing the variety to the global market.
