Finca El Jardín — Leonardo Henao

The story

Henao developed his first farm, Los Palomos, after years coordinating small producers and studying fermentation. Los Palomos produced the Chiroso that won the 2020 Colombia Cup of Excellence. Onyx reports that he sold the farm in 2022 and returned to production in 2024 by acquiring El Jardín.

Innovations

El Jardín operates as a variety garden. Nudos documents separate natural and extended-washed Gesha lots, including multi-day cherry fermentation and submerged fermentation after depulping; these are lot-specific methods, not a claim that every harvest uses them.
