The story

The farm is located in Kokose and was purchased by Bekele Utute in 2019. It is managed by Bekele's brother-in-law, with the drying station overseen by Bekele's nephew, Samuel. The site is part of Bekele's broader coffee operations, as he was born into a family of coffee growers.

Challenges

The farm previously faced limitations by selling coffee to local suppliers before obtaining an export license in 2021 to reach international markets directly.

Innovations

The farm focuses on producing high-quality dry processed coffees, including traditional naturals and anaerobics, specifically for export to the U.S. and Korean specialty markets.
