Raro Boda washing station
The story
The Raro Boda washing station was established in 2018 in the Uraga woreda of the Guji zone. It is owned and operated by Negusse Debela, a coffee entrepreneur who founded SNAP Specialty Coffee in 2008 and has extensive experience managing wet mills in the region.
Challenges
The station relies on deliveries from hundreds of local smallholder farmers, requiring coordination across the Uraga region to maintain quality standards.
Innovations
The station has implemented renovations to its fermentation tanks, including the use of ceramic covers to improve the cleanliness and clarity of the washed coffee profile.
