Rayos del Sol

The story

Rayos del Sol is a third-generation coffee farm located in Alto Ihuamaca, San Ignacio, in the Cajamarca region of Peru. The farm is managed by Percy Pintado, who continues the family tradition of coffee production in an area nestled between two forest conservation zones.

Challenges

The farm operates in a remote highland environment and has focused on refining lot composition to improve consistency across its microlots.

Innovations

Percy Pintado has introduced Geisha plantings to the farm and actively participates in the Cup of Excellence competition to receive feedback for quality refinement.
