Ajoy and Pranoy Thipaiah are a father-son duo managing Kerehaklu Estate, a biodiverse coffee farm located in the Chikmagalur district of Karnataka, India. Ajoy focuses on agronomy and traditional farming wisdom, while Pranoy leads post-harvest innovation and experimental processing. Together, they are recognized for redefining Indian specialty coffee through a focus on soil health, agroforestry, and scientific processing techniques.

Kerehaklu Estate has been in operation for over 70 years, evolving from traditional shade-grown cultivation into a hub for experimental processing. Pranoy Thipaiah, a biology graduate, began shifting the farm's processing approach around 2019 to allow for controlled fermentation, moving away from traditional methods that bypassed fermentation entirely. The farm now emphasizes the use of native microflora and sustainable agroforestry to enhance coffee quality.
