Furaha Umwizeye is the founder of Kivubelt Coffee, a vertically integrated coffee operation based in the Nyamasheke district of Rwanda. She works to empower local smallholder farmers by providing resources and facilitating quality separation through her washing stations.

Furaha Umwizeye founded Kivubelt Coffee in 2011, beginning with the acquisition of 200 acres of farmland in Gihombo. She has since expanded the operation to include multiple farms and two washing stations, Murundo and Jarama, located along the shores of Lake Kivu.
