Hamdan and Hendra Maulizar are a father-son duo based in the Pegasing region of Aceh, Indonesia, who operate the Pegasing Washing Station. They are recognized for their focus on experimental processing techniques and their work with over 70 local smallholder farmers to produce specialty-grade coffee.

Hamdan began growing coffee in 2006, while Hendra established his own processing station in 2010, initially starting as a one-acre operation before expanding to a 10-hectare facility. By 2014, the duo shifted their focus entirely toward specialty coffee production, investing in infrastructure such as wet mills and raised drying beds. Today, they process up to 40 tons of coffee annually through their station.
