Mauricio Salaverria
Mauricio Salaverria is a prominent El Salvadoran coffee producer recognized for his passion for meticulous processing and his commitment to specialty coffee. He owns and operates multiple farms across the Apaneca and Ataco regions, where he focuses on producing high-quality, traceable micro-lots. He is widely respected for his innovative approach to drying and his collaborative relationships with roasters and exporters worldwide.

Salaverria transitioned his family’s operations toward specialty coffee approximately 13–14 years ago in response to the price disparity between commodity and specialty markets. He built his own micro-mill to gain greater control over processing and quality, a move that proved foundational to his success. Over the years, he has established himself as a leader in the region, operating several farms including Finca Himalaya and El Divisadero.
