History

Founder Aman Adinew, a former executive at DHL and Chief Operations Officer at the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (ECX), returned to Ethiopia to establish METAD in 2014. The company was created to address gaps in the Ethiopian coffee sector by focusing on high-quality standards and sustainable supply chains. METAD operates significant infrastructure, including the Hambela Coffee Estate, which features washing stations and dry mills.
