Stuardo Coto
Stuardo Coto took over management of his family's Finca El Platanillo in western Guatemala in 1985. He and his son Samuel are documented for their work on worker welfare, conservation, climate-friendly farming and variety trials.

The Coto family bought Finca El Platanillo in the 1970s. Stuardo succeeded his father in 1985; Samuel later joined its operations. The farm pursued Rainforest Alliance certification in the 2000s and received the organization's climate-friendly verification in 2011.
