Shan Plateau

The Shan Plateau is a vast highland region in eastern Myanmar characterized by nutrient-rich red loam soil and a cool microclimate. Coffee is primarily cultivated at elevations ranging from 1,000 to 1,700 meters above sea level. The area experiences distinct wet and dry seasons, which allow for consistent cherry development and facilitate the production of high-quality specialty naturals. Most production is managed by smallholder farmers who often integrate coffee cultivation with subsistence crops.
