From the producer

The Lamastus family has been producing coffee since 1918, with their farm situated at high elevations ranging from 1,700 to 2,060 meters. The estate is nestled within a protected old-growth cloud forest, providing unique biodiversity and volcanic soil conditions that contribute to the complexity of their coffee.

From the roaster

Sey Coffee highlights this Gesha for its unique and elegant characteristics, noting that the cup offers a beautifully integrated experience of floral aromatics and bright fruit acidity. The roaster emphasizes the meticulous processing methods used to articulate the specific terroir of the Elida Estate.

Why this coffee is noteworthy

This specific washed Green Tip Gesha came from the Lamastus family’s Elida Estate at 1,850 meters. SEY notes that the farm’s washed Gesha won the Best of Panama washed competition in 2018 and 2019; that award context is farm/lot-line history, not a score for this 2021 retail release.

This coffee is in our database because we can reliably document it — but we haven't tasted and scored it yet, and we never publish a score we haven't earned.

What the internet is saying about this coffee

Research complete — no qualifying reviews yet

Our research pipeline scanned public reviews, videos, forums and discussions for this coffee (last pass 2026-10-22) and found no independent review of this exact release that meets our verification standards. When qualifying sources appear, they'll be published here.

What we found

Non-exact, seller, directory, generic-roaster, different-release, duplicate, and older-release sources were excluded. No qualifying independent exact-release review remains.

Same coffee, different roaster?

Other roasters, same producer.

These coffees come from the same producer or farm, offered by other roasters. We never automatically declare two offerings the exact same coffee — a match requires lot, harvest and traceability details. Even a true same-lot pair can taste different: roast approach, freshness, rest and brewing all reshape the cup.
