Finca El Limoncillo

The story

The Mierisch family's involvement in Nicaraguan agriculture began in the late 1800s when Bruno Mierisch Boettiger, a German geologist, received land in the mountains of Matagalpa as payment for his work on the national railroad. The farm is now managed by the third, fourth, and fifth generations of the family. Finca El Limoncillo was named after the small lemon trees found on the property.
