Los Cedros

The story

Los Cedros is a high-altitude farm located in the Inkawasi Valley of Cusco, Peru. It is operated by Samuel and Mario Muriel, who are second-generation coffee producers.

Challenges

The farm is situated on an exceptionally steep mountain slope, which presents significant logistical and cultivation difficulties.

Innovations

The producers utilize cedar trees throughout the farm to provide shade and contribute organic matter to the soil, and they employ a precise 32-hour dry fermentation process.
