Tero Farm

The story

Tero Farm was founded by Getachew Zeleke, a former accountant who transitioned into coffee production after selling real estate investments in Addis Ababa. He purchased land in the Shakisso district of the Guji zone and began planting coffee in 2009. The farm operates as a vertically integrated entity under Dimtu Coffee Industry PLC.

Challenges

Sourcing high-quality Guji coffee has become increasingly difficult in recent years due to market and supply chain complexities.

Innovations

The farm utilizes semi-forest cultivation techniques under natural shade trees and maintains its own on-site washing station to ensure quality control and traceability.
